E2E For Learners
Here are some questions you might be asking yourself about E2E in Gateshead.
What is E2E?
E2E aims to help 16-18 year-olds who aren't certain about their career choices or who don't have the experience, skills or qualifications to start an apprenticeship, college course or a job.
What kind of stuff do you do on E2E?
E2E programmes are made to suit you. Usually they will invlove things like getting skills you need at work, basic reading, writing and number work if needed, key skills like working as part of a team and finding and applying for jobs. All this plus experience at work.
What kind of qualifications willl I get?
A wide range of options are available in Gateshead including NVQ Level 1 in Hairdressing. Painting and Decorating, Beauty Therapy, Adult Care, Horticulture, Joinery, Military Preparation, Construction, Child Care, Business Administration and Retail.
Is E2E for me?
You can start E2E if you are not employed, have left school and are under the age of 19. You should also not be at school, college or in training. Even if you are 19-24 you could still start E2E but your should contact Connexions Tyne and Wear for more advice.
How can E2E help me?
E2E aims to build up your confidence and skills. You will have the opportunity to experience work, and develop the kind of skills and attitudes that will make you employable.

How long do I stay on an E2E progamme?
The average length of stay on the e2e programme is 22 weeks, by which time you should be ready to progress into employment or further education.
